It was a wonderful day filled with learning, culture, music, and meaningful action. We hope our students will continue to grow with love for nature and understand that protecting our planet starts with small steps we can take together.

Together, letโ€™s care for our Earth today for a brighter tomorrow! ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒ

On October 23rd, Jean Mayer Preschool celebrated United Nations Day 2026 with the theme โ€œInspired by Nature, For Climate, For Our Future.โ€ This special celebration invited our students to learn more about climate change, appreciate the beauty of our world, and understand how we can help protect our planet.

We were happy to collaborate with BMKG Jayapura, who shared valuable insights with our students and parents about climate change and its impact on our environment. Through this session, we hoped to encourage everyone to become more aware of the importance of caring for nature and protecting our planet for the future.

One of the highlights of the day was the studentsโ€™ parade, which became a small but meaningful action in our school campaign to remind everyone that our planet needs our care. Through this activity, students learned that even simple actions can help make a difference in protecting the Earth.

To end the celebration with a meaningful action, each student received a plant seedling provided by Dinas Perkebunan Jayapura to take home and plant with their families. This simple gesture encouraged our students to continue caring for nature beyond the classroom and become little stewards of our environment.

To celebrate the diversity of the world, our students came dressed in traditional and country-inspired outfits representing different nations. Little Bee and Busy Bee represented Indonesia, Bumble Bee represented the Netherlands, and Bee Explorer represented Vietnam. Our teachers also joined the celebration in outfits representing the Netherlands, Indonesia, Vietnam, Finland, and Norway.

The celebration became even more exciting with special performances from our students! They presented dances inspired by their represented countries and sang โ€œHello to All the Children of the Worldโ€ and โ€œHeal the World.โ€ Through their performances, our little learners shared messages of friendship, unity, and hope for a better world.
