Celebrating Indonesia’s Independence Day

EVENTS & CELEBRATION

Our Independence Day celebration at Jean Mayer Preschool was filled with excitement, joy, and lots of Indonesian spirit! 🇮🇩 The celebration began with an Independence Day ceremony, where our little learners gathered together to commemorate Indonesia’s Independence Day. It was a special opportunity for the children to experience the ceremony, learn to stand together, follow the proceedings, and take part in celebrating an important moment in our country’s history. Even at a young age, we believe that introducing children to these traditions helps them begin to understand and appreciate the meaning of Independence Day. We were also happy to welcome Yakult Indonesia, who joined us and made the day even more exciting for the children.

Beyond the games and prizes, moments like these give children the opportunity to learn about Indonesia, independence, confidence, and togetherness in a way that feels fun and meaningful. Seeing them sing, participate, cheer for their friends, and enjoy the celebration together made the day truly special.

It was definitely a memorable Independence Day at Jean Mayer Preschool—full of smiles, singing, learning, and happy memories with friends. ❤️🇮🇩

The celebration continued with a variety of fun activities, including a digital singing competition featuring the song “Hari Merdeka.” Our little singers showed great confidence and enthusiasm as they sang their hearts out. We are incredibly proud of all the children who participated, and even more excited that every participant won and received a prize! 🏆🎤 It was such a wonderful moment to see their hard work, courage, and love for singing being celebrated.
